Details
Standing before you is a rather tall and lithe woman of an Elezen persuasion. Silvery hair with light crimson streaks, as well as her alabaster complexion compliments a being that came from below the surface. Curiously, despite her taking on the average appearance of a Duskwight, her skin is more ghastly in comparison to her kin. Yet even this isn't her most striking feature. That would be her eyes, which have a subtle glow under darkness and showcase only iris', without nary a pupil.
Under rarer circumstances when parts of Elenthea's skin may show, the upper half of her body bares scars from her time in travel. Yet it's not those scars that many will find on the Elezen woman, but rather the ritualistic one that spans the majority of her back. Scarification that looks far too much like a ritual gone wrong - or right.
Her most trustworthy companion, and something she's never seen without, is her custom-built revolver with a strange design. Engraved on the barrel are leafless branches that span toward the cylinder starting from the trigger guard. Amidst the engravings read "Devil's Moon". And on the wooden grip, there's a caravan wheel with an incredibly detailed eye etched into the finish.
When she's not wearing some mildly-expensive perfume, one can smell the presence of either fresh herbal scent of cloves, a hint of either pine or cedar, or on rare occasions, soot. The most common scent one may find on Elenthea, however, is the prominence of coffee beans.
Despite any attempt to hide the imperfection along her eyes, one may occasional find the dark rings and the sagging eyes of a woman being without sleep.

Background
Warning: this page is a spoiler of Elenthea's past and her story. I've put it here for anyone that wants any extra ciricular reading involving my character!
All, except for Elenthea, who would miraculously survive the ordeal.
And in doing so, it allowed her to find a new interest and purpose: to study and investigate occult matters, going so far as to create a firm within Ul'dah that she's ran for a long time.
Hooks
"Dupont Occult Investigations, LLC" - The founder of this firm. Her and her team of investigators deal in matters involving the occult. Although the occult are their specialty (and each case is done by Elenthea herself), they also take on other contracting work.Fought (With) The Law - Elenthea on numerous occasions has worked with law enforcement in Eorzea when working on certain cases. Usually ones involving missing persons of interest, but others cases from the Brass Blades may end up on her desk."I'm Your Rolanberry". - When Elenthea isn't going out, as a side hobby she takes on contracting work as a gun-for-hire. She needs to keep her gunslingin' arm good, somehow.Knows Some People - Connections are key for an investigator who deals in the paranormal. So she tries to have eyes anywhere she can, and they can either range from minor nobles to criminals in the underworld. Even down to the local beggars. The Bad & The Ugly - In regards to the underworld, Elenthea tends to have the most beef with criminal undergrounds and syndicates. It's not uncommon for her business or person be threatened. Or, reportedly, ambushed.Yet, even when rumours spread that Elenthea was taken care of, she strangely comes back.(Un)friendly Disposition - Voidsent. Ashkin. Cultists, or those that dabble in magic beyond their control are creatures or people Elenthea tends to hunt. But if push came to shove, and there's little to trust, sometimes you must get creative with who you're friends with...
Hi there! I'm Muse, and I want to thank you for reading my Carrd for Elenthea! It's still a work in progress so information and formatting may change around. But either way, I'm glad you took the time to read. ♥
I live in the East Coast of the United States. My times for getting online are sporadic at best because of work but I like to try and get on around the evenings when I can. With that said, I've got a few things I want to set in stone:
I try and keep things 18+.
IC is IC, OOC is OOC! No blurring any lines here or one bleeding into the other.
Elenthea does hunt down Voidsent and Ashkin (and members of the occult or paranormal), so any characters that fit the archetype may not have an easier experience with Elenthea unless they're deemed harmless in her eyes.
I'm open to most forms of RP except for ERP. That'd need to take lot of build-up and time put on before it's ever considered.
The easiest way to get in touch with me is to find me on Discord, which is placidignited.
Dupont Investigations

"Feels like it's been goin' on forever, but really my crew n' I've been at this for a solid decade now. It also feels good knowin' we're doin' somethin' in th' world. Despite every hardship we've had t' dealt face, th' cards bein' 'gainst us, we've pushed on. That's th' most wonderful thing I can say 'bout my firm." ~Elenthea
Back then, it was more of an idea and a pipe dream than a loft ambition of Elenthea's. Opening up a firm that dealt in matters of the strange and weird that permeate the realm of Eorzea. But as Elenthea took on more contract work in Ul'dah, what began as idle interest and a lofty, idealistic business would some come true when she helped out a merchant in her time of need. With the backing and funding found, Dupont Occult Investigations would open and serve the greater community of Ul'dah and the surrounding lands with a decade of service.
All of which backed up by handpicked investigators, some of Elenthea's closest confidantes.
The Merchant

"Danene Dane. Head of our operations, 'nd th' one who keeps our friendly tax-man at bay. Probably th' most shrewd woman I've met in all my time travelin'. S'ppose it helps that she was a merchant 'fore we met. Dunno where we'd be without her, t' be honest."
Before her foray into being the primary investor in Elenthea's firm, Danene runs a mercantile business involving multiple, successful catering services in the three city-states, with a stint into the industry of fashion. Unfortunately, this growing success angered a few competitors and they put a quiet hit on the misfortunate merchant. One fateful evening, Danene would be leaving for Limsa when she is attacked by several undead. On that same evening, a rags-wearing mercenary would be traveling back from a job out of La Noscea. Needless to say, the mercenary-gunslinger made quick work of the undead, as well as their summoner.
After much deliberation on payment and favours, the two would hash out a business deal and become business partners. A strong relationship that's lasted the entire firm's lifetime.
The Smithy

"Eragor Rajsch. M' right hand man. He's got th' tool for any job - 'nd he's th' one who builds 'em. Keeps us supplied on tools, weapons, 'nd equipment 'round th' office.
Big guy, with a ol' big heart."
Hailing from Ilsabard, Eragor was a traveling blacksmith with a promising career ahead of him. But the Hrothgar found himself running with a streak of bad luck. Mysterious circumstances befell his places of work, prospects shift gears to the Garlean war effort. When the Empire came to claim his homeland, he fled the frigid North and made way to Ul'dah. From there, after finding his way around the city of wealth, he happens upon a rags-wearing Elezen. While the two shared lament over their current stations, the latter promised to hire Eragor if she ever found work.
Eragor has been a loyal companion to the firm ever since.
The Gunner

"Arnor Hinman. Probably one of th' best shots I've seen out of Ala Mhigo. Man was part of th' Resistance for awhile, seen some things that still give 'em that long yalm stare. I don't blame 'em, personally. After th' occupation of Ala Mhigo, he ended up driftin' 'round for 'while. Found his way t' my doorstep. Saw some potential in 'em, 'nd now he works for me. Couldn't of asked for anythin' better."
As an Ala Mhigan, Arnor never saw eye to eye with the Garleans - especially when they invaded his home and pillaged his land. Like many other members of the Resistance, he joined in their cause and fought back against the Empire during their occupation. When it finally ended and his home freed, he chose not to stay - just knowing that his birthplace was finally out of the Garlean clutches was enough. So he began to drift around for a long while, scarred by his experiences but hopeful. His wanderings lead him to Ul'dah, and eventually on the doorstep of the firm. Seeing potential in the young man, Elenthea took the gunner under her wing. Now he works fervently as one of the firm's investigator's, as well as a guard when the need calls for it.
The Kid

"Katie Barber. Former bandit, now calls herself a 'Junior Investigator'. While I don't see her like m'kid or anythin' - that'd be a little weird - I see a bit of m'self in her. That, she's been somethin' th' firm needed for a hot minute.
'nd that's heart 'nd soul."
Born to sailor parents, Katie always desired for a life of fun and adventure. But things changed when her parents disappeared suddenly when they went out to sea. With no other relatives to turn to, Katie would end up in a life of crime joining in pirate crews or gangs. She became something of a gunner, ultimately being used to do the dirty work of whichever gang she joined or as a scapegoat. Her recent inclusion in a group of bandits saw her going after some mysterious woman that killed the previous leader in a fight. When they find out where she would be next posted, Katie and a bunch of others storm the Coffin and Coffer to catch her by surprise.
On that day, only Katie walked out of that tavern alive - with a deal struck and the prospect of a new view on life.
Katie will forever be grateful that Elenthea never shot at her.
The Enigma

"N'lumio. If there was anyone more frustratin' t' work with, they couldn't beat her. When she's serious 'bout somethin' there ain't nothin' that'll escape her. Prior hunter, if I had t' take a guess. But she's th' sortuv gal t' play games and riddles with folk. 'nd if y'don't know th' answer, then tough luck. I'm quite fortunate t' have her 'round, though."
Most of the staff of Elenthea's firm are drifters of some sort, those whose backgrounds are known amongst one another. But N'lumio is a mystery that's never told her story. Some at the firm believe she was a soldier that desserted her post - other think she is a powerful sorcerer given her inclination to the dark arts. Despite this, N'lumio finds herself working with the firm from time to time, assisting in their cases when needed or asked for.
The Shadowy

"Tilmund Foster. Our loremaster, magicks enthusiast, 'nd resident asshole. Some days workin' with Foster is like pullin' teeth off of a pissed off goobue - it's pretty difficult. But th' man knows his stuff, even if he wants t' try 'nd recreate every ritual we tell 'em not t'. I'm afraid of what would've happened t' him had we not found 'em."
While he hails from Ishgardian and was once a promising Thaumaturge in Her Fury's Temple Knights, his curiosity into the greater conflict of the Dragonsong War as well as his inclination to darker arts branded the young man as a heretic. Faced with certain death, he opted to flee Coerthas and hid in Idyllshire for a long while. This didn't stop his thirst for knowledge though, and he picked right back up in collecting old lore and knowledge. In his ventures, he heard through the grapevine that a small company was looking for someone with his knowledge.
It wasn't long before Tilmund became the firm's loremaster, and walking encyclopedia to almost anything occult-related.
